ANSI Flanged Gate Valve

ANSI Flanged Gate Valves utilize flanged connections for pipeline installation. Their primary function is to provide full-open or full-closed control of the medium; they are not designed for flow regulation or throttling. These valves offer distinct advantages, including low flow resistance, superior sealing performance, and bidirectional compatibility. Employing a gate disc as the opening and closing element, the direction of its movement is perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow. Actuated via a handwheel or actuator, the valve facilitates either a fully open or fully closed flow path. Structurally, they are categorized into wedge-type and parallel-gate types; based on the stem design, they are classified as rising-stem or non-rising-stem valves. Available actuation methods include manual, gear-operated, pneumatic, and electric drives, making them well-suited for automated systems and high-frequency operational environments.

Working Principle

The Bolaisi ANSI Flanged Gate Valve controls the on-off and flow of the medium through the lifting movement of the gate plate perpendicular to the fluid flow direction.

1.Opening Operation

Rotate the handwheel clockwise, the valve stem thread rotates to drive the gate plate to lift upward. When the gate plate completely leaves the valve seat channel, the pipeline is fully connected, and the medium flows smoothly with extremely low pressure loss.

2.Closing Operation

Rotate the handwheel counterclockwise, the valve stem drives the gate plate to move downward. The wedge-type gate plate gradually presses tightly against the sealing surfaces of the valve seats on both sides, achieving zero-leakage shutoff of the pipeline medium.
