Product Definition & Working Principle

Stainless Steel Flange Y-type Filter is a precision filtering device with Y-type flow passage and female threaded connection. It removes solid particles, rust and suspended solids to protect downstream pumps, valves and instruments.

Working Principle:Based on gravity sedimentation + screen filtration.Media enters the Y-type body; heavy particles settle into the bottom chamber. Fine particles are trapped by the screen. Cleaned media flows downstream.A drain valve is provided for easy cleaning without disassembly, greatly reducing downtime.

Standard threaded connection (NPT/BSP/GB) and 304/316/316L material ensure wide adaptability to various media and harsh conditions.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation

1.Follow flow arrow; install with the blowdown chamber facing downward.

2.Clean pipeline before installation; check screen and seals.

3.Use PTFE tape or gaskets; torque properly to avoid damage.

4.Reserve ≥30cm maintenance space; install cover outdoors.

5.Pressurize slowly, vent air, pressure test for 30 minutes before use.

Maintenance

1.Regular blowdown: 1–2 times/week (normal); 1–2 times/day (dirty media).

2.Clean screen when pressure difference ≥0.02MPa. Replace if broken.

3.Clean body, apply anti-rust oil; inspect for pitting in corrosive environment.

4.Troubleshoot leakage, low flow or high pressure difference promptly.

5.Establish maintenance records for lifecycle management.
