What is a stainless steel gate valve?

A stainless steel gate valve is a valve used in pipeline systems to control the flow of fluid. It achieves full opening or full closing through the linear movement of a gate, and is not suitable for flow regulation. It is known for its corrosion resistance, good sealing performance, and low fluid resistance, and is commonly used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power, and water treatment.

Working Principle:

The gate moves linearly with the valve stem, controlling the flow of fluid. When fully open, the passage is unobstructed with low resistance; when fully closed, sealing is achieved through medium pressure or external force.

Structural Features:

Material: Valve body, gate, etc., are made of stainless steel (such as 304, 316), which is corrosion-resistant.

Sealing: The sealing surface is overlaid with Stellite alloy, which is wear-resistant and high-temperature resistant.

Types:

By sealing surface: Wedge type (rigid/elastic) and parallel type.

By valve stem: Rising stem (rising stem) and non-rising stem (rotating stem).

Applicable Scenarios:

Suitable for pipelines handling corrosive media in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power, water treatment, food, and pharmaceuticals, for controlling fluid flow.
